  பொதுப் போக்குவரத்து வரலாறு 1907 - கொழும்பிலிருந்து சிலாபம் வரையான முதலாவது பொதுப்​ போக்குவரத்து அறிமுகம் 1940- ஒவ்வொரு வழிகளுக்குமான கட்டணத்தை குறைப்பதற்கு போக்குவரத்து அமைச்சர் தீர்மானித்தார். 1958- மத்திய போக்குவரத்து சபை நிறுவப்பட்டது. ம.போ.ச. இன் கீழ் 2500 கம்பனி பேருந்துகள் செயல்பட்டன. 1968- வழி விரிவாக்கப்பட்டது. அபிவிருத்தியடைந்த உற்பத்தித்திறன். புதிய பேருந்துகள் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டன. 1978- ஒன்பது பிரதேச சபைகள் நிறுவப்பட்டன. குறைந்த கட்டணங்கள் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டன. மோசமான முகாமைத்துவம். பெரும் இழப்பு மற்றும் அரசியல் தலையீடுகள். 1979- பிரதேச கம்பனிகளின் தோல்வி காரணமாக போக்குவரத்து துறையில் முதலீடு செய்வதற்கு தனியார் துறை அழைக்கப்பட்டது. 1980- இயக்குநர்களின் விருப்பப்படி தெரிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட வழிகளில் 5000 தனியார் பேருந்துகள் பயணித்தன. இது பிரதேச பேருந்துகளுக்கு தீங்கு விளைவித்தது. 1990- திறைசேரி மீதான சுமையைக் குறைப்பதை நோக்காகக் கொண்டு மக்கள் மயமாக்கப்பட்ட பேருந்து கம்பனி நிறுவப்பட்டது. 1998- பேருந்து மனை நிலைகளில் மோசமான முகாமைத்துவம் காணப்பட்டமையால், மக்கள் மயமாக்கப்பட்ட ...
